planning

The planning has begun!  Conversations are being had, routes are being plotted and excitement is high!  Is it bad I'm wishing summer would come and go so that I can get on the road - er, plane?!

Zoe and I sent mom out of the house so we could all decorate the living room and much brunch

The Trader Joe macaroons and the gluten free scones were a huge hit!

My mom is the most amazing woman I know.  She is kind, caring, compassionate, loving, beautiful, intelligent, and so much more!  She has taught me so much and I am so grateful that she's mine!  I know my sister and I can be difficult and exhausting so I appreciate everything she does and deals with so incredibly much!

Here's to all the other beautiful mother's who have taken on the job of raising and caring for all of us kids!  We love and appreciate you!!

not so secret garden

Today is supposedly the last nice day for awhile so I spent some time outside with my momma!
Hope everyone gets to spend some time with their moms this mother's day weekend!

a weekend for the books

 This weekend was the best weekend I've had in a long time.  The weather was absolutely spectacular and I got so much done!
I started the weekend off by painting my room on Friday night and spending some time with some friends.  Saturday consisted of putting my freshly painted room back in order, basking in the sun in the backyard and having friends for dinner.   Sunday I washed and cleaned my car, went to a few nurseries with my mom and spent some more time in the sun.  Together, our family went down to the beach to enjoy the sunset and get gelato from the best place on the beach!

Home.

I'm home! And have been for quite some time now.. Life has gotten relatively busy and I'm ok with that!  Within the first couple days of being home I became employed and have been working at an insurance company for two weeks.  The work itself is pretty boring but it's all to support the cause... Europe 2013!!
